In Tsim Sha Tsui, your private guide will not be shy of anecdotes and historical facts while introducing you to Hong Kong’s history, from the opium wars to the Handover. You will be shown the harbour views, visit Heritage 1881 (and Hullett House – the old Marine Police Station), the Peninsula Hotel and pass by Chung King Mansions, home to many ethnic minorities.
You will then visit he Taoist temple of Wong Tai Sin. Renowned for granting all wishes and curing all ailments, this place is a must see in Hong Kong! You will learn about local legends and superstitions, and if you dare to, you’ll be read your future by a real fortune-teller. The final stop will be in Diamond Hill to visit Chi Lin Nunnery and its Chinese garden, Nan Lian. There, we will discuss Buddhism, Chinese garden principles and Feng Shui.
